Coming this Week at "Stalking the Belle Époque"

With 2011 now firmly upon us, we continue our journey to find the world’s beauty both past and present by visiting Windsor Castle. There we’ll see some of the most amazing treasures collected by Britain’s Royal Family over the centuries as well as take a look at how the castle has been restored since the 1992 fire which destroyed large sections of this historic building.

In addition to the usual glimpse at my own collection of antiques and curious objects, we’ll take a glance at the collections of museums across the world as we examine paintings and sculpture created by Italian, French and English artists from a range of centuries. Our look at the work of present day artists will include a magnificent portrait painter, a unique musician and one of the entertainment industries most enduring and talented singers and actresses.

Magnificent jewelry is always on the menu at Stalking the Belle Époque. We’ll see some incredible jewels and also some unusual applications for jewels in decorative objects across the ages.

In addition, we’ll have some fun with a look into classic cinema and animation, we’ll see what Bertie has been up to and, of course, we’ll keep tabs on Mr. Punch as Punch’s Cousin continues.

As always, I offer my sincere thanks for your visits and comments. Here’s hoping that 2011 is already shaping up to be an exceptional year for you!
